About Michelle
Michelle is the founder and creative force behind Elite Occasions by Michelle, a luxury event design company where elegance meets heartfelt intention. A Burgaw native now rooted in Wilmington, North Carolina, Michelle earned her bachelor’s degree in educational studies with honors from Grand Canyon University, beginning her career grounded in education and community enrichment.
Her journey into event design began in the early 2000s, when she helped create an intimate beach breakfast planned by her pastor for her husband, who also serves as pastor. That morning ignited a joy for crafting meaningful experiences long before the rise of luxury picnics. Years later, during the pandemic, a glimpse of a luxury picnic on TikTok rekindled that creative spark transforming a cherished passion into a refined profession.
Guided by unwavering faith in God and a devotion to service, Michelle brings grace, creativity, and purpose to every celebration she designs. Through Elite Occasions by Michelle, formerly Elaborate Outings, she curates sophisticated spaces and unforgettable moments that reflect both beauty and intention. Each event is a seamless blend of elegance and emotion, thoughtfully tailored to tell her clients’ stories in the most exquisite way.

Her creative excellence extends beyond traditional event spaces, having been commissioned to reimagine Block Eats Food Hall at Cape Fear Community College’s North Campus; proof that her design vision knows no bounds.
